Summary:
Piano no Mori (Piano forest) is a pleasant anime film which revolves around a young, poor and talented young boy named Kai. The story is told through the perspective of a new student, Amamiya Shuuhei, who is from successful musical family and has been learning piano all his life. One day Kai brings him into a large forest where an old abandoned piano lies unused. When Shu tries to play the old instrument, it produces only a dull and creaky tone. Only when Kai sits down in front of it can the piano produce the beautiful, rich tone its capable of.

Personal ratings: 4.5
Really loved this show. I think that in this show, there was little words spoken. However, you could understand the character's feelings just from their expressions and actions. In shows like this, with little words, there are always deep meanings to each and every actions.

I really liked how they show that Kai was able to bring out a piano's true melody even though he never did went to piano classes, by him, and only him, being able to playing the piano in the forest. I think it really shows his feelings towards music, or strictly speaking, piano.

I think this show really gave me a meaningful moral to take. I liked how not everything goes well for the main character. I know how some manga or anime loves to make everything go well for the main character, no matter how difficult the situation he or she is in. For this movie, Kai, did not win the piano competition in the end, though i was kind of expecting he would. I think this movie really shows how you cannot fully accomplish or bring out your true talent, if you are not enjoying ourself. In one way or another, hard work does bring you to greater heights, but if you are not enjoying yourself, you are never able to reach the highest level.

There are some really touching moments in this show. (forgot, but i remember crying >_>)
Even though the characters in the show are young and may not understand much about the world, but they are able to do things that adults cannot.

Art ratings: 4.5
for some reason, i really liked the art. I cannot really express it, but the flow of the whole show was really good.
