A fun and light anime. Very suitable for kids due to the fast pace of this anime.

I liked the way they had related the show (more of the relationship of Gin and Hotaru) to the seasons. Though I actually wished they had mentioned a little on the other two seasons (Spring and Autumn). Would have made the anime even better, even if it's just a single sentence. I also liked how they had kept a little suspense of Gin's true identity.

As a work coming from the author of Natsume Yuujinchou, I acutally expected something more elegant then this. I found this anime lacking in a lot of areas. Really felt that the anime is much too short and sudden. The ending of this anime really came suddenly. It all ended within a few seconds. I really thought that they should have dragged the back a little longer and make it such that there was another time where Hotaru saw Gin (or Gin's Look alike) again. More over, dragging it longer and fully expressing her feelings towards Gin would have given the anime more impression for the viewers.

It's a little more edgy as compared to Natsume Yuujinchou. Totally loved how they desgined Gin. Leaving a very deep impression due to the Kutsune (Fox) Mask he wears all the time. The gray or white hair and the Mask really mixed well to give Gin that elegant look. Though i think they could have soften the edges of his hair a little. As for Hotaru, she looks pretty much the same as she grew. Her simple look really matches well with her simple and easy-going personality.
