Personal Ratings: 3.5
I was really doubtful about how this anime would turn out after watching the first episode. But since everyone was saying that it was good, I picked up the series again. However sadly, I feel that it's not an anime that you can watch more than twice.

I felt that for the first episode, putting that much gory scenes may actually deter some people away from watching the rest of the anime, even though the whole show is actually quite interesting. I guess it just started off real shaky, because the story line isn't really laid out yet, and with all the gory and confused Kareki scenes, there was just too much weirdness going on. But after a while, you would find it getting more and more interesting as the situations gets more intense.

I thought that they should actually tell us more about the different wards in Japan, and kind of briefly tell us which ones are the so called "out-standing" ones (be it in a positive or negative way). This way, the viewers would immediately know the situation to a certain extend when you mention the ward number.

Thought that they should have shown more of Rize from within Kaneki, because it kind of seems like they totally forgot to add her in in the middle of the anime, but they did bring her back at the end of the anime and also a lot of the conflicts are some how connected to Rize, so it's aminor issue here.
A little boring at the last part becayse they just kept going on about what's happening within Kaneki's mind, and seem to totally forgot to tell us whats the situation outside, so there was only the excitement about Kaneki's awaken form lingering after the anime, even though the other fights are also interesting.

Totally worth more 12 episodes, can't wait for the 2nd season where all the fights will take place, and also get to see more of Kaneki's new power. Hoping to see more masks in the 2nd season.
Totally love how everything in the show is connected; especially love how everything is connected with Rize, and how they didn't throw her away after her death (a lot of anime forgets about the dead characters). There were no such thing as a useless scene in this anime, which makes it sort of perfect. It also goes into the little details when it comes to what the character is feeling, be it emotion or physical pain.

Look forward to the 2nd season which will be coming next year, winter.

Art Ratings: 4
I like the art. Thought that everything just went well with the setting, though after awhile you can tell that there isn't much of a variety of character design here.

Animation was good, smooth, and went down to the very small details. No animation errors (not that I could find).
